Phil read his book today. Bob painted pottery. I hit the beach and watched the youngsters play volleyball. We all enjoy each other. We all enjoy our alone time.

About 1:30, I notice Drew, London, and Range at waters edge, playing in the surf. I get up, walk down to the water, and give Drew a fist to fist handshake. I ask him how his workout was this morning, and inquire about wing shooting tomorrow. He tells me that Marcos, our local guide and EB employee, can’t make it tomorrow, so we’re trying for Saturday. That’ll still work, as Phil doesn’t leave till Sunday. Phil will be headed to Hawaii then, stopping to overnight in LA, where he’ll have dinner and a brief visit with one of his daughters, Karen.

Bob leaves tomorrow at 1:00. He’s returning to Longview, and cooler weather. He is planning on a dinner of roasted pepper soup with friends Nancy and Jim upon his return. They keep an eye on his house and aquatic menagerie in his absence.

Tonight we celebrate as good friends do when one or all are preparing to leave. Bob wants to go to Playa Bruja to try another dish and Spanish coffee. He, Phil, Barb, and Kathy had breakfast this morning on the patio at La Cordeliere. This was the final morning for the ladies. They ran into Bob and Phil at the pool early and asked them to join them for breakfast. When I caught up with Phil, he mentioned that he was impressed with the quality of the food. Also, that the French toast, that Barb had ordered, looked good in both quality, and quantity. I made a mental note of that, because Angel and I eat lightly at breakfast, and splitting an order might be a good option for the future.

Bob is currently attending a free wine and cheese tasting at La Cordeliere. Phil and I are on the patio at the room, reading, writing, and enjoying the view. After Bob is finished with the tasting, he is catching the shuttle to PB Mazatlan, then making his was to Pancho’s, where is going to try and find Gepetto (not sure of the spelling folks), a Mexican craftsman and beach vendor, who makes his living selling handmade marionettes. The plan is for Bob to procure a puppet, and then return to Emerald Bay, where we will hail a cab to Playa Bruja. Maybe we will get Ramon, the friendly driver on the now infamous, Salsa dancing adventure (refer back in this blog to the photo of Bob and Kathy at Playa Bruja).

Hasta Luego!
