Mazatlan Tour Guide

If you should decide to vacation in Mazatlan after reading this blog, please consider using the services of a local tour guide for part of your stay. Why? ... personalized service, local knowledge, and you will do things and see places that vary from the ordinary "tourista" stuff.

Angel and I met Marco Trewartha through Donna, Drew, Brittany, and kids. They have used his services for the past few years. He is dependable, has a great sense of humor, loves kids, is an English speaker, and enjoys sharing his knowledge of Mexico. He and his lovely wife Miriam have three beautiful daughters. Marco works very hard to provide for his family.

This year Angel and I were very fortunate to be invited on several of Marco's planned excursions by Donna's family. Each adventure was a blast! I think a good part of the fun each time can be attributed to Marco's ability to thoroughly enjoy himself along with the rest of us. If he was shooting dove, riding a four wheeler, taking a banana boat ride with the kids, answering stupid gringo questions, telling us stories, making us his favorite ceviche recipe or drink, Marco was just one of "family". That's what made it all "so cool".

Angel and I will have a difficult time repaying Donna and family for their generosity in inviting us along on their adventures and "sharing" Marco. I am already looking forward to next year. We will be sure to have Marco show us more of "his Mexico". He is the best.
