Here are photos from Saturday activities at the Honolulu Convention Center. Great performances by two groups from Japan! Many vendors including a booth from the Alaska Native Heritage Center. The quilt shot was taken from afar as the fierce little Chinese ladies guarding the quilts would not allow me to take a photo up close. I'm not sure why, but I'm guessing they feared someone would ripoff their designs and sell them. Seemed a little weird to me, as the Chinese are "expert" at reverse engineering for profit.
